Biography
Maryna Rabinovych is an assistant professor at the Department of Public Policy and Governance at the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) in Ukraine. She is also a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Social Sciences at the Arctic University of Norway (UiT), affiliated with the Governance and Democracy research group. She joined the UiT in August 2024, after having completed a post-doctoral research term working on the Research Council of Norway-funded project Lowering the Bar? Compliance Negotiations and the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement at the University of Agder, Southern Norway (2021–2024). She has also held visiting positions at the University of Thessaloniki (2016/2017), Vienna University (2018), the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2019) and, most recently, the Social Impact, Technologies and Democracy Hub (SITAD Hub) at the University of Technology, Sydney. Maryna holds an LL.M from the University of Hamburg and the Europa-Kolleg Hamburg and a PhD in Legal Studies from the University of Hamburg.
Since October 2024, Maryna Rabynovich has been a fellow in the Ukraine Research Network@ZOiS. Her project focuses on discourses about the West and Western wartime support to Ukraine among various Ukrainian stakeholders, ranging from opposition parties to popular bloggers. More precisely, she explores the diversity of discourses on the West in Ukraine amid the continuing war.
