Biography
Tatiana Golova is a sociologist. She obtained her doctorate from the University of Magdeburg with a dissertation on the spatialised identity construction in the radical left-wing milieu. Before joining ZOiS as a researcher in late 2016, Golova worked at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Magdeburg and at the Institute for East European Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. The transfer of knowledge to the public sphere and applied social research are of special importance to her. Her regional focus is on Russia, Germany, and the transnational spaces in-between. Her research interests include civic and political activism, migration, and communication via social media. In her work, she combines interpretative qualitative research with social network analysis.
