Biography
Johanna studied International Politics and History, European Studies and German as a Foreign Language at Jacobs University Bremen, the University of Leipzig, St. Petersburg State University and the University of Wroclaw. After that, she completed a traineeship at the Robert Bosch Stiftung's department for international understanding. From 2019 to 2022, she worked as a staff member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina for the international academy network InterAcademy Partnership and the Global Young Academy, where she coordinated numerous projects and events at the interface between science and politics. Professional and volunteer activities repeatedly take her to the Baltic States, especially Estonia. Since October 2022, she has been the academic coordinator of the ERC research project Moving Russia(ns): Passing on Memories between Generations Abroad and at Home (MoveMeRU).
