Biography
Oksana Mikheieva is a professor of sociology at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. From 2020 to 2023 she was a DAAD visiting professor at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). In the spring semesters of 2020 and 2022 she was also a visiting lecturer at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She held a visiting professorship in Ukraine-European Dialogue at the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna in 2016, and in 2015 she was a Eugene and Daymel Shklar Research Fellow at Harvard University's Ukrainian Research Institute. She is a member of the Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society and the Ukrainian Sociological Association. She also serves on the editorial boards of the academic peer-reviewed journal 'Ukraina Moderna' and the analytical information journal 'East' ('Skhid'). She joined ZOiS in 2023 to work on a research project about the everyday experiences of forced Ukrainian migrants in the EU and home infrastructure on the move.
