Many thanks for getting involved in this research project!
To contribute your insights to “Moving Russia(ns): Intergenerational Transmission of Memories Abroad and at Home (MoveMeRU)”, we require your consent. As a participant in this survey conducted by the Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS) you will make a significant contribution. Your involvement will help the researchers to better understand the intergenerational transmission of historical views between people with migratory background and those without. The project studies Germany, Estonia and Canada with a specific focus on the Russian migrant population. In the online survey we will ask you questions concerning political and social norms, historical events, and the relevance of historical and political topics within your family.
The survey is anonymous. It is absolutely impossible to relate you personally to any of your answers. Participation in this study is completely voluntary. Note that once you have completed the survey and submitted your answers, all data that has been collected as part of your participation will remain on file and cannot be deleted. This is because we would not be able to know which data belongs to you personally.
If you do not wish to take part in this study, click on the “NO” button on the landing page of the survey. You also have the right to withdraw from the study at any time. You can withdraw by simply closing the browser window. Data collected up until this point will be deleted.
After completion of the research project, your responses will be incorporated into a dataset and will be uploaded to an online repository called “Discuss Data” so that it can be used by other researchers.
In case you have any questions about this study or require further information, please feel free to contact the Project Coordinator Johanna Mogwitz johanna.mogwitz(at)zois-berlin(dot)de.
