Colloquium on Eastern European Studies in Berlin/Brandenburg

On July 19, 2024, at the end of the summer semester, the Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS) and the Chair Comparative Democracy and the Political Systems of Eastern Europe at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin will host a multidisciplinary research colloquium.

he colloquium takes place in cooperation with the Freie Universität Berlin and the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and is intended as a discussion forum for work-in-progress by doctoral students, postdocs and established scholars whose social science work is related to Eastern Europe. The aim of this colloquium is to establish a permanent meeting point for Eastern European research in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. This year, the research colloquium will take place for the first time as a half-day workshop at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

As part of the colloquium, Hakob Matevosyan and Félix Krawatzek will present the paper "Support for Ukraine as a Historical Necessity? A Study of Germany," which was developed as part of the MoveMeRu project.
