On the ban on international institutions in Russia

On 8 April, Russia’s Ministry of Justice has revoked the licenses of a long list of organisations, including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the Carnegie Moscow Center, the Moscow bureau of the DFG and the German political foundations, among them partners of ZOiS. This decision further shrinks the space for political analysis, discussions about human rights and democratic values, and cooperation with Western partners. We stand in solidarity with the colleagues in these institutions and will find ways to continue our exchange with them.
